Surprise, surprise, surprise ..... Disney Parks Blog had a sneak preview of Pete's Dragon, the new live action movie on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at 9pm. As guests at Fort Wilderness Campground we were invited for the sneak peek . The host was Mark, he was the master of cerimonies with Steven Miller from the Disney parks blog . They asked trivia questions and the correct answers received Pete's Dragon movie prizes. Things like backpacks, notebooks, blankets, a watch and I think coffee mugs. They asked questions about the original character from the original movie and other Disney movies that had a dragon in them. You just had to raise your hand and you could be picked. All ages got a chance to answer. They showed many Disney coming attractions and previews before the screening . As a special treat everyone got a box of popcorn and water was on hand . The Disney parks blog also had an area set up with tables for Disney animal fun with free buttons and a free download of their new book coming out soon. The National Park Service had a table with information on our National parks and some free-bees for the kids. Also, before the movie a park ranger spoke about how important the National park system is, saying there are over 400 national parks in the USA. Bet you didn't know that. There were activities for the kids with some Pete's Dragon coloring books. As a special treat the actor that plays Pete, Oakes Fegley was onstage with the Disney parks blog crew answering questions about his experiences shooting the film. After the movie all who attended the sneak peek received a Disney parks blog baseball cap and an insulated Pete's Dragon lunch box. Awesome! Our family really lucked out just because we were at the right place at the right time. I'm glad we stayed at Fort Wilderness Campground to spend our family vacation! The movie was a great family affair, wonderful cast, and a great story. The movie was interesting it had some great action and chase scenes. Please if you have not seen this movie, go right now, seeing it on the big screen is great!
