Jungle Navigation Co. Ltd. Skipper Canteen.
Since it opened about a year and a half ago, Jungle Navigation Co. Ltd. Skipper Canteen, you should be glad you don't answer the phones there, has been a Disney restaurant I wanted to eat at since day 1. But, why am I waiting to eat there?
The answer is simple , the food they serve seems a bit weird. Now I know they have changed the menu somewhat so it is kid friendlier but, no one I know wants to eat there. Between the weird food choices and high prices I know my family won't be eating there ever. Please believe me , I really, really want to eat there I'm the Mousemaniac ,Disney is in my DNA. I have no choice , it's my destiny , my karma. But my wife and kids all are saying " it sounds gross and it costs too much " . So for the time being since we have no Disney tickets ( #still too broke for Disney )so going is out of the question. Well it restaurant it self looks awesome inside,I stuck my head inside once , and I think it would be fun to eat there.
So this is what Disney says about their restaurant :
Dr. Falls, I Presume? Immerse yourself in the legacy of the Jungle Cruise! The same skippers who guided your steamer down the Nile, Amazon and Congo Rivers have opened the doors and kitchens of their tropical headquarters to fellow adventurers and famished families like your own!
Delight your big and little explorers with premium table-service dining in 3 curiously quirky rooms: the crew’s colonial-era Mess Hall (which is not messy at all, thank you very much); the Jungle Room, former family parlor of Dr. Albert Falls himself; and the S.E.A. Room—a once-secret meeting place for the Society of Explorers and Adventurers!
They sure have better writers than I do. Wait a second ,hey I'm the only writer!
Anyway try it you may just like it. So in closing if you can get past the weird flavors of food and high prices this will be a great place to eat. But, as for me it's gotta be" Someday".
Any questions or comment feel free to let me know.
