Disney is closing The Crossroads Mall, you know by 535 and the exit/entrance of Hotel plaza boulevard. McDonald’s,Pizza Uno ,Perkins and a whole bunch more. I remember as a kid going to Goodings supermarket for soda or cold pills ,all kinds of things. I always thought this supermarket was so fancy because it had carpet though out. I guess that’s why they were so expensive. Disney is giving all the tenants around 18 months or so to vacate. Why? Disney wants a better more efficient off ramp from I-4 to Hotel Plaza Boulevard to access Disney Springs. Evidently The Springs is a giant success. I have seen first hand how great Disney Springs really is. I hope this make going to Disney easier and faster for everyone.
Disney originally owned the land on which the shopping center sits, and originally developed Crossroads at Lake Buena Vista in 1988. The shopping center was sold off in 2005.No one is really sure if all the out parcels like Mc Donald's ,Chevy's, Pizza Uno , Taco Bell and a few others will stay or not.
This what it looks like today .
This is what's proposed .
